SOUNDS LIKE: Jam band, rock ‘n’ roll
ABOUT: Wooden Spoon is a band whose parts are from PA and NJ. They perform locally in the tri-state area and play songs from such bands as The Beatles, The Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan, and Tom Petty along with throwing a couple of original tunes in the mix. Wooden Spoon can play many roles whether it’d be a solo show, a triple play, or even the full 5 piece band. The band is comprised of Carl Ferriere, Gary Sanguinetti, and Erik Walther. Carl plays guitar and sings. He has been an elementary school teacher for the past 10 years, lives in Montague, and has been playing music since he was 12. Gary plays guitar and sings. He is in sales and lives in Sparta. He’s been playing music for about as long as Carl’s been alive! Carl and Gary met at an open mic and their love of the music of the Grateful Dead got them playing together. They’ve been playing the Dead since then! Erik plays harmonica. He lives in Frankford and works with stained glass. He and Carl have been friends since high school and have been playing music together for a long time.
